The
question often arises as to the legitimacy of art as being original,
when the artist doesn’t actually apply his or her hands to the work
itself. Example: Can the artist write notes advising assistants how to
do the work or project? Perhaps the artist then merely approves the
results?
The answer is a definite, YES. Much conceptual, original art is at times done this way. (Remember, always, the basics of general art originality.)
