Why Have Federal Worker Unions?

There is no reason for government unions. FDR wouldn’t stand for it during the New Deal and Great Depression. If fed government labor wants better pay, they can vote for a labor party or its equivalent.

Private workers can and should have the right to join private unions. Negotiation with private employers is totally different than dealing with taxpayers where a union has the ability to influence government politicians and bureaucracy. (See the Earl J. Weinreb NewsHole® comments and @BusinessNewshole at Twitter.)
